How it works
The perfect part time job!
There are parents out there that need your babysitting skills….why not meet them at the next Lullaby League mixer?
Part time jobs are tricky when you are in school. Why not find a great paying, flexible and fun job that allows you to do some studying (when the kids are asleep) and gives you the opportunity to meet some amazing families. You know your schedule (we know it changes) and what will work for you-so let the parents you meet know the details and make it work for both of you. Lullaby League mixers are the fastest, easiest and frankly, funnest way to meet parents who are in need of fabulous sitters like you.
Lullaby League is not a nanny or placement service. This is a babysitting meeting service allowing you to work as much or as little as your schedule allows. At each mixer you will have dozens of 3 to 4 minute “mini interviews” with parents so you and the parents can get a feel for each other. You want to know about the kids and they wants to know about you. This is the time to get a sense of all of it. You meet the moms (and dads too) and work out all the details between the two of you. You can come to as many mixers are you like (and we encourage that) so you can meet more and more families allowing you to fill in your schedule as you wish. We are all aware that school schedules change and that you can only commit to what you know at this time-and that is ok. Parents are willing to work around schedules when they find that perfect babysitter. Going rates for babysitters these days are $10-$15 an hour-can’t beat that!
Speed dating for parents and babysitters…What is this all about

Showtime-The night of event and not sure what to do? It is simple really…
- Be on time and get ready to chat. Relax, there are no right or wrong answers, no good or bad people, just be yourself and have fun. Oh and the question we face every day…”What to wear”? You don’t need a power suit but you certainly don’t want to show up in a ratty old t-shirt so be casual but put together. With only 4 minutes to chat, a good first impression is key.
That was a blast! Now what do I do? Sit down with your calender and…
- Wait for the calls to come flooding in.
- Please call back all the moms that call you, even if it’s just to tell them you are busy/booked. We hate to have them sitting by the phone.
- Tell your friends, classmates and pretty much anyone who will listen all about your amazing experience with Lullaby League.
There is no fee for babysitters to attend a Lullaby League mixer.
Keep in mind that if you do sign up for Lullaby League, we really need for you to attend the specified mixer. Spaces are limited and the waiting list is really long so only register if you plan to attend. If something does spring up (and we understand that stuff happens) and you can not make it, please contact us as soon as possible. “No shows” are frowned upon and will not be allowed to participate in any future Lullaby League events.
*Please note that no background checks have been performed on any of the potential candidates or clients, and that the employer and employee are responsible for all screening.
